Going to the Hospital

That weekend Jessica didn't feel so well, she kept having very bad back pains but chalked it up to just getting bigger with the pregnancy. Sunday came and Brandon and Jessica decided to take it easy and only go to their first block of church meetings.
Monday morning was a typical morning, it was Brandon's first day of school and he was nervous and excited to go. Jessica had to work that day but didn't need to leave until 8 am. When getting up to get ready, Jessica knew their was a problem. The ambulance ended up needing to take her to American Fork hospital to see what was going on and to see if their little one was okay.
Jessica was so scared, she finally got a hold of Brandon and he was on his way to the hospital as she was in the ambulance. The ambulance took Jessica to Labor and Delivery, Brandon was panicked, he couldn't find Jessica and didn't know what part of the hospital she was in. Her doctor came to check on her and decided to send her to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center with Brandon.
The ambulance had to come back and take Jessica to the next hospital, once they were to UVRMC (having driven very fast!) all they could do was wait. While waiting, Jessica was put in the trendelenburg position, where her feet were higher than her head. Then another doctor came in, he checked to see how she was doing and made sure the baby was still okay. He had said that her water could break at any time, and they needed to get an ultrasound to check the babies growth and see if they could consider a cerclage. (where they stitch the cervix closed to see if they can prolong a pregnancy.)
While Brandon and Jessica were waiting to get the ultrasound to confirm the growth of their child, Jessica looked over to Brandon and said "if this baby comes today, we have to name him Grayson Richard" jokingly. Brandon agreed.
Once the ultrasound was done, another doctor came in to tell Jessica and Brandon that they wanted to try a cerclage. But first they needed to do an amnio (where they put the needle in through the moms belly to test for a number of things, mainly for this situation it was to see if the water was infected), and then they needed to wait for those results to make sure that their was no infection, if it wasn't they could try the cerclage. if it was, then they would need to induce labor.
Once the amnio was done, Jessica was told that her mom was flying up from California to be there for everything, Jessica was grateful for her mom to be there and sad at the reason she needed to come.  Now they had to wait for the results. 2 Hours later, the results were back, the amnio came back and the water was not infected. so now they could do the cerclage. Except Jessica was having contractions still (the really bad back pains) so they had to wait and see if they would stop by themselves with the help of medications and if they did they could do the procedure in the morning.
So then the next wait began. A very uncomfortable wait. Jessica was moving a lot trying to get comfortable because of her contractions, also having her legs above her head was making it worse, she was getting a headache from that position and from the medications that were going into her by IV.
Soon the nurse came in and told her she needed to eat for dinner (she hadn't eaten all day because of restricted diet in case she had to have the baby). She was able to have a liquid diet only because of the cerclage in the morning. Once her dinner was brought in, Jessica didn't have much of an appetite, but she ate anyway. She was just finishing up when she needed to turn again to get comfortable, having Brandon help her she turned on her right side. As soon as she did so, she felt her water break. She panicked and sent Brandon to go get her nurse. That was the deciding factor on naming their baby Grayson.
