Grayson was up and wiggly his first day. He would jump every now and then and his left foot toes would move. Brandon and Jessica were even able to get the chance to wet his mouth with a q-tip dipped in milk. The nurses said that he wouldn't do anything but he would like it, a few seconds later he was sucking on the tip, wanting more. Jessica was able to hold him up with a nurse to help change his diaper. They were able to check his temperature and be as involved as they wanted to. Throughout the day they learned what all of the machines were for and what medications were being administered at times. Grayson also had many visitors. Mainly his mommy and daddy and grandma's though. But he had great aunts and great uncles and great grandparents visit too, he also had some of his mom and dads friends come visit him too. on Graysons second night at the hospital, Brandon, Brandons dad Richard, and Brandons grandpa Paul were able to give a beautiful blessing to Grayson through authority of the priesthood. In this blessing they we were told that if Grayson wanted to, he could stay, and that if he did decide to stay then he would grow up strong and healthy, and have wonderful life and wouldnt be effected from this trauma.
Their was great hope after that, Brandon and Jessica just wanted the best outcome and the will of the Lord to be done. They were so greatfull that the blessing had said this, but also in the blessing they were told that if Grayson didn't decide to stay, their was great work to do and that he would be with his family again someday.
Throughout the two full days Brandon and Jessica had with their little Grayson, the spirit was so strong. They knew their new little family was being helped by angles of God. They had a constant prayer in their hearts, and they really just wanted the best to happen.
